Abaya Size Guide
Choosing the right abaya size is simple once you understand how abaya sizing works. Unlike tailored clothing, abayas are generally sized by length, measured in inches from the shoulder (near the neck) down to the hem. For example, a size 52 means the abaya is approximately 52 inches long.
As a general guideline, your abaya should fall around the ankle for everyday wear. If you prefer a longer, floor-length style, we recommend selecting one size up. Our size chart is designed to help you find a length that feels elegant, practical, and comfortable for daily wear in the UK.
Abayas are designed to have a loose, flowing fit, offering modesty and ease of movement. This means that measurements such as bust, waist, and hips are less restrictive than with fitted garments. However, areas like shoulder width and sleeve length can affect how the abaya drapes and feels, especially if you prefer a more structured look around the shoulders. When in doubt, choosing a slightly larger size will give you a relaxed silhouette while maintaining a graceful shape.
To measure yourself at home, stand straight and measure from the top of your shoulder to your ankle using a soft measuring tape. This measurement will guide you to the correct abaya length. We recommend measuring without bulky clothing for the most accurate result. If you are between sizes or unsure which length to choose, sizing up is usually the safest option.
